Animation Lesson 1 (Part B)

Whew! That's alot of characters! (Roughly 25 if I counted right...). This is some more work on the characters in the 'Egg Shape' lesson.
You know, whenever I used to copy cartoons and other art I'd always wonder why it was that my drawing looked so different. I'm starting to see that I may have used guidelines, but I never really worked to get the angles and other details as EXACT as possible. This method is making a big difference in the way I construct my 'guides'.
I'll continue posting the new lessons as soon as I get them done. I'm taking this kinda slow, but hopefully what I'm learning will stick that way.

Welcome to my new Art Blog!

Welcome to my new blog everyone. I started this to participate in John Kricfalusi's brilliant animation lessons based on the techniques you'll find in the Preston Blair Animation book. I actually had this book around as a kid, and working on the exercises is giving me both nifty ideas and fond memories (particularly of all the time I spent drawing cartoons for fun :).
The first lesson is an exercise with the incredible, indelible egg. I actually got a real egg, drew the guidelines and face on, then set the egg up in various poses and drew a page full of those. Let me know what you think sirs!
I'll be posting more art later on so stay tuned for that too!
